Kona Rove – Get Lost.

Views like this are everywhere, once you hit the gravel.

Decades of activity from the resource industry has left the Columbia Valley with hundreds of kilometers of roads, accessing some of the most beautiful country you could ever imagine. Currently, when you travel these roads, you are on your way to a trailhead for one of our many amazing hikes. Driving at 60-80km/h, its likely that you only catch glimpses of some of the absolutely stunning scenery the Purcells have to offer.

Enter the Kona Rove – the bike designed to turn the journey into the destination.

The 2020 Kona Rove NRB

Gravel bikes like the Kona Rove allow riders to get off the pavement, and explore some stunning corners of our province. Wide tires, easy gearing, powerful brakes, and mounts for racks, fenders, bags, and bottles unlock options galore.

Glaciers, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, and stunning vistas are both countless, and totally attainable in a day trip. You can hit some singletrack on the way home, or, pack some bags, and venture into the world of Bike Packing – the world is your oyster.

Perhaps one of the most compelling reasons to hit the gravel, is the sheer accessibility of solitude and the low barriers of entry. You don’t need to have incredible fitness or bike handling skills to get started, and you don’t have to shell out a ton of money – the biggest requirement is the desire to explore, and I think everyone has that bug in them.

Wild places await.
